1999 Honda Accord 3.0i V6 EX
MODEL: CG2 3.0i V6 EX (RHD)
ENGINE: J30A1 24v 200HP / automatic

There it is. The car I once hated, but as soon as I bought it, I couldn’t believe how good it is. I often say this is objectively best Accord – yes, in my opinion 4th generation is The Best, but if you look overall without rose tinted glasses – CG2 is the king.
It’s pretty, though very unique looking; maybe not as beautiful as classic Mk4, but it’s still very eye-pleasing machine. It’s very comfortable and well equipped – sure, it doesn’t have as many modern features as Mk8, but it has cruise control, automatic climate control, power seats, windows, mirrors and sunroof, decent audio system and very comfortable leather upholstery; it’s also very spacious inside, so even very long trips won’t be particularly exhausting. It’s powered by big, 3-litre V6 engine which sounds AMAZING. Yes, paired with outdated automatic transmission, so it’s not as fast as CL7R or CH1, but it’s still very quick car; and it’s also surprisingly good on fuel. All in all, CG2 might not be the best in any of these subcategories, but when you look at totals, it turns out that it’s probably the best compromise between looks, power, handling, comfort etc.
I never really intended any heavy mods for this car; many people tell me it needs body kit, but I actually prefer “naked” body. It’s gonna sit a little bit lower and of course, I’ll add some little touches here and there, but I want to keep it rather stock, especially considering this particular example is in fantastic condition, rust free etc.
