2005 Honda Accord 2.4 Type-S

MODEL: CL9 2.4 Type-S (RHD)
ENGINE: K24A3 16v 190HP / manual

Now, that’s the car that I’m not really sure what to think of… I never particularly liked 7th generation, although I said if I’ll have a chance to buy cheap silver prefacelift saloon 2.4 Type-S, I might do that. Of course, at some point I had a chance to do so… And I ended up with this CL9, which ended up in scrapyard due to timing chain failure.

I fixed it fairly quickly, as it turned out, engine wasn’t badly damaged. And I still don’t love the car, even though it’s fun to drive, easy to modify and really decent even as a daily. K24 has plenty of grunt, is reliable and good on fuel. The car generally drives nicely, although I don’t like the oversteer tendency of rear end. My initial goal for this car was to turn it into track toy, but since I bought CD7, I decided to make CL9 more of a boy-racer street tool. Currently, car is sitting by my garage, grossly neglected, but soon I will be getting back to work on it.
